This last year I illustrated my mom’s book “My Bring Up”, a memoir of her childhood growing up in the small town of Chelsea Vermont. Throughout the process my mom and I collaborated on the images I created. It was a whole new experience reading the stories and then having her describe her memories to me. The small details she remembers really brought the stories to life.

Southern Vermont Arts Center
This winter I applied for one of the solo show spots in the Yester House at Southern Vermont Arts Center. I was so excited to hear that they wanted me to be one of their artists showing this season. Actually I was beyond excited, I may have jumped up and down a bit.
Vermont Institute of Natural Science
I am so excited to have my work showing at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) in Quechee, VT. I have always been an admirer of the work they do there. They are known for their rehabilitation of birds who have been injured, so that they can be released back into their natural habitat. The birds that have injuries that prevent them from being released are cared for by loving employees.
Branching Out – Solo Show
Last Friday at the White River Craft Center, in Randolph, VT I had my first solo gallery show! My 44 original watercolor and pen paintings will be hanging until February 8th.
New Paintings – Intertwined & Reeds
After a bit of a break I am back at it sketching and painting! These two paintings I am very excited about and love seeing them together. They are both mounted on wood panel and will be framed with oak. The frames are made by the wonderful Alex Drew.
