Last Friday at the White River Craft Center, in Randolph, VT I had my first solo gallery show! My 44 original watercolor and pen paintings will be hanging until February 8th.
The paintings that are up range from an old barn door, dried koas corn, birch trees and dead beech leaves. The sizes range from 4″x4″ up to 24″x30″ larger pieces. It took me a while to get all my pieces painted and together. My husband Alex made the oak and maple frames to fit my watercolors mounted on wood panels. Which made them look awesome!
I am so excited that people are interested in my work, and love when people like it. The weather was horrible the night of the opening reception, but still a lot of people came out to see my show. Thanks so everyone who came out to support me and my dream, I really appreciate it!
Really love your work, Amy. Those birches almost have faces…. I hope you’ll let me know when you have work exhibited in Chittenden County or Montpelier area.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I will let you know about any shows or galleries I might get into around that area. You can also follow my instagram and facebook accounts where I usually put updates. 🙂
Amazing coincidence….visited the AVA gallery yesterday and was immediately drawn to your paintings in the gift shop. Picked up a copy of IMAGE on the way out which featured an article on you and your work so was able to enjoy more of your work on those pages.
I’d love to be able to paint like that!
So glad you like my work! I’m so exciting to be featured in IMAGE. Painting takes practice for sure and i’m still learning (I always will be). The most important thing is to have fun! 🙂
