When I paint I tend to follow the seasons. I will paint winter scenes into the early spring then transition and paint spring until early summer and so on. This way I am always finding fresh or sometimes not so fresh inspiration.
Some of my paintings are mounted onto wood panels. I paint the watercolor on watercolor paper, use heavy gel medium to mount it to the wood panel, when dry I spray it with an archival varnish. I love this look and really enjoy the process of putting them together. My husband has been making me oak and maple frames to compliment my paintings.
